Charlie is Public Policy and Development Officer with Easter Seals-Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain (NRM). The company is a four-state affiliate based in Great Falls, Montana. He lives in Helena, Montana. In addition to lobbying and coordinating the public policy arena for the company, he also works with donor relations.
For 30 years, Charlie has administered a wide variety of health and human services at the local, regional and state level, in Montana, Oregon and Texas. He served on the personal staff of two Montana Governors, Ted Schwinden (D) and Marc Racicot (R), as a public policy advisor and program developer. He has administered a state commission in Austin, Texas, and has also worked in Washington D.C. as a consultant for federal rulemaking. Charlie holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Montana at Missoula.
From 2004-2007, Charlie owned a consulting firm based in Helena assisting public policy and funding, as well as administered a statewide provider association of services to people with disabilities. He joined Easter Seals-Goodwill NRM in June 2007. Charlie and his wife, Christie, have five grown children and several grandchildren.
Charlie has volunteered for 30+ years as a Eucharistic minister with the Episcopal Diocese of Montana. He and Christie have been involved in numerous volunteer activities with St. Peter’s Episcopal Cathedral. In addition to serving on the board of Disability Rights Montana, Charlie volunteers as a narrator with the Montana Talking Books Library in Helena.
