Safe and affordable homes are more difficult to find than ever.

Ensuring that all Montanans with disabilities have stable, accessible housing is central to building healthy communities where everyone can thrive. This area of our work seeks stronger tenant protections, more affordable options, and accessible living spaces that meet the diverse needs of our family, friends, and neighbors with disabilities.

Right now, Montana is experiencing a housing crisis that has forced families to choose between paying rent or having enough to eat. Many face landlords who raise rents without warning, provide unsafe conditions, or fail to accommodate disability-related needs. Disability Rights Montana aims to strengthen policies that hold landlords accountable, increase public funding for tenants, and collaborate with local tenant unions to develop best practices that protect vulnerable households. By doing this work, we ensure that no one is left without a place to call home.

We invite you to join us in standing up for housing justice.
