Crip Camp/MT Summer Tour 2026
Hey, Montana!
This summer, the disability revolution could be coming to your town. Learn about the rise of the disability rights movement and how we can build upon the same political power that pushed Congress to pass countless disability rights laws, got the federal admiration to bend to the disability community’s will, and brought forward ground breaking civil rights lawsuits that went all the way to the United States Supreme Court.
The disability rights movement isn’t history, it is our future! Join the movement at a screening in your town, this summer.
We want to know where there are Montanans who are interested in attending screenings. We are also seeking partnerships with local individuals and organizations interested in hosting a screening. If you are interested in attending or hosting, please fill out one of the forms above and we will be in touch.
What to expect:
We will show the 90 minute documentary Crip Camp Wherever people want to gather to watch and discuss the film—whether with coworkers, a house of worship, a classroom, family and friends, a chamber of commerce, or the broader community. Screenings can be small and intimate (such as a home movie night) or large and public (such as a school gym, theater, or community center).
The Collective Disruption will then support post-film conversations. We will send professional advocacy staff from one or more Montana disability advocacy organizations, including Disability Rights Montana, National Federation of the Blind of Montana, Summit Independent Living, Ability Montana, North Central Independent Living Services, and Living Independently Today and Tomorrow.
If you are interested in attending or partnering as a local host, please complete the appropriate form above. We will then be in touch to coordinate next steps.
